How do you know if you're giving value to your event audience?
It's whether they learned anything from your event and put it into practice and found benefit from doing so. If they did, then you've given them value. If not, then you haven't. You obviously need feedback from your audience on this.
The reason people go to events is to get something out of them. They want a new perspective, an idea that will help them solve a problem, or an experience that will make them feel better about their life or business. If they don't get it, they'll be disappointed and likely never return to another one of your events again.
What if they don't take action on what they learned at your event?
You need to ask yourself what happened at the event that prevented them from taking action. Was it because of something you did or didn't do? If it was something that you did, what can you do differently next time? If it was something you didn't do, then communicate with those people after the event to let them know what they missed out on, and how they can get access to it.
Here are some questions that can help you get at this information:
1. What did you learn at this event that was new or different for you?
2. How could this knowledge be applied in your life or business?
3. Do you plan on putting this learning into practice? If so, how will doing so improve things for yourself or others? If not, why not?
4. Which of our past events have been most valuable to you and why?
Hope these event ideas help. Stay tuned for more...
