The same can be said about social media and other marketing tools: you need to combine them with other strategies in order to have the best chance of reaching your audience.

Even on social media you need to plan your event and content marketing rather than just posting content in the hope that it will attract the audience you want.

Marketing is a process, not a one-size-fits all solution. It's about creating a plan for your business and then executing it with consistency, accuracy and creativity.

It takes time and energy to create a successful marketing campaign — time to research, plan and execute.

You're not just trying to get your brand in front of your customers, you're also trying to get them to care about it. To do this, you have to have a message and a reason for people to care about you.

Think about how you are going to get a coordinated and consistent message about your events across the marketing channels you use:

·       Who are your audience?

·       How will you first get their attention?

·       How will you interact with them online?

·       How will you then convince them to attend your events?

·       How will you get them to attend regularly?

·       How will you turn them into fans of your events so that they help you spread the word?

Each stage needs its own planning and strategy.
