Your event attendees are busy people. They don't want to spend too much of their time on unnecessary matters.
Make things convenient as possible for them to join your event, interact and engage. This blog post expands on our earlier post 'Make Things Easy for Your Event Audience'.
The more convenient you make things for your audience, the more likely they are to join your event, interact with other attendees and engage with the content.
Plan your event with the audience in mind. Think about:
- how your audience will find out about your event,
- how they will register for your event,
- how will they attend the event - whether online or offline,
- how they will interact and engage with you and others before, during and after your event.
Make it easy for people to find out about your event by providing an easy link to your event.
Make sure they can easily access the registration page and that they can register without having to provide unnecessary personal information. Also, make sure there are no technical issues during the process so that they don't have to worry about anything except enjoying the event itself.
Give attendees all the tools they need in order to get ready for your event as soon as possible after registering; this includes links to documents like presentations or slideshows that they need to prepare beforehand.
