When you're planning your event marketing on social media platforms and
search engines, you need to think about the goals that each platform has for
its users and plan your marketing accordingly.
For example, some social media platforms may like their users to spend
more time on their platforms rather than exiting and going elsewhere.
So, if you're posting links of your events on these platforms, thereby
taking your audience away from these platforms to e.g., your digital real
estate, the social media platforms may not give your posts as much prominence
as if you were to keep your audience on the social media platform for longer.
The approach taken by search engines may be different. Some may want their
users to find what their looking for quickly and 'bounce' off their platform to
wherever the users want to go.
Ads on search engines will produce different results compared to the social
media sites. Plan your posts and ads with this in mind.
