If you run events, one of the benefits you can provide your audience is to help them make connections with others. Make introductions.
It's a simple value proposition to offer. And it's a way to make your events more valuable. It's also a great way to build relationships with the people who attend your events (if you're not already doing this).
By introducing people to each other, you are doing them a favor, and they will appreciate it. They might even remember it the next time they have a business opportunity or need someone to help them with a problem. And then they will think of you and your event.
Think about how you can get your audience to connect with each other. Insightful presentations, debates and panels are all great, but helping your audience make connections is a key benefit or value that you can provide.
In many events where the facilitator just says, "Okay, we're going to take a break now." Then he or she sat down and continued talking with someone else from the organizing team. Some audience members would chat with each other, but most would go back to their seats and continue chatting on their phones or laptops. You could see why a lot of people come to events and don't connect with anyone at all, because there is no structure for them to do so.
So, make it easy for them by helping them make connections, and watch how your event attendance will grow as people discover that they can make meaningful connections at your events.
