Pay Attention to Your Audience

Pay Attention to Your Audience

In this attention economy, if you want your audience's attention, you need to pay attention to your audience.

The attention economy is a model that describes the value of attention as a new currency. This model is based on the premise that people are more likely to pay attention to things they find valuable.

You need to earn, not just buy, that attention if you want your event to be successful. In other words, you have to give people something worthwhile for their time and effort.

Make sure that everyone knows what’s going on before the event starts! If there are any changes or updates, let people know right away so they can plan accordingly.

Keep in mind that attendees may not be there just to see you — they’re also there to learn something new, make professional connections and find inspiration for their own businesses or careers as well as connect with others who share similar interests and goals with them! See our earlier blog post: 'Don’t Take Your Audience for Granted'.

Familiarity breeds contempt. So, when someone has attended one of your events before, make sure they feel welcome again by giving them something new at each one. Conversely, If you do the same thing over and over again, people will get bored and take for granted what you do, no matter how good it is. You have to keep surprising them so they don’t take everything for granted.

Your event audience are a very important asset in your business. They provide you with the attention that you need to succeed.
