Once you reach a plateau in your events and you think you're not growing anymore, how do you breakthrough and emerge better the other side?

Maybe it's because you're not getting enough people, or maybe it's because you're getting too many people who aren't right for your events. Re-assess your target audience. Try looking at your event as if it were a product. And like any product, there are many different ways to market and sell it. Are you running your events with the purpose of generating revenue or to build brand awareness?

There are many different ways to break the business barrier. We give you some ideas here. The most important thing is that you have to keep going - every day, week or month.

Re-assess:

  • your purpose for doing your events;

  • what you are trying to achieve;

  • why do people attend your events;

  • what value you give to your event audience;

Make sure you keep:

  • building up your email list;

  • making new contacts on social media;

  • making new contacts offline also;

Try different:

  • content for your marketing;

  • formats for your events;

  • Calls to action (CTA);

  • new online platforms for your digital marketing;

  • new networking groups;

  • events to attend to make new contacts;

  • events that are out of your comfort zone to learn something new;

But overall keep going. When you keep putting in the effort continuously and persistently, it reaches a critical mass and then you see the results kick into action.
