It's not just about getting a bigger audience for your events but getting the right audience. But it's also about doing the right events.
This is not easy. At the beginning you may have an idea of who you want as your ideal audience. And then you start trying to market to them. If, after a while, you have some audience built up but not the ideal audience you wanted to attract, what can you do? If you carry on with your events with the audience you are getting, you may not get the results you hoped for. You should consider, either changing your target audience or changing your events and/or marketing to more suit the audience that you want.
This is a tough choice, especially for individuals who host their own events - do you want to do events that suit the target audience you want or do events that interest you (and are good at), in the hope that others will also be interested. Your market research, marketing and planning will differ in each case. In the long run, these choices can mean the difference between growing your events and brand or not.
If an audience member acts, or does not act, on your call to action (CTA) you should try to understand why and build on that.
We hope this will help you with your event marketing. Stay tuned for more creative event ideas!
