If you're conducting event marketing to promote your products or services,
remember to upsell when it's appropriate.
Offer your audience what they may add value to them. This can be done in a
number of ways:
During the event, e.g., offer attendees special pricing on related products or services. Or, in an email follow-up after the event, offer attendees a discount on related products or services.
If they've purchased one of your products or services, send them information
about similar items that might be useful. For example:
·
"You're here for the event, but we also
offer training on this topic."
·
"You're interested in learning more about
our product, but we also offer custom solutions."
·
"You're interested in seeing how our
company can help with your business needs, but we can do even more than
that."
The idea behind this is that you've already got their attention and interest
for the event; now you have the opportunity to sell them something else that
will provide additional value to them. There’s a lot of material out there that
can help you with this marketing strategy.
