What Does the Data Say?

What Does the Data Say?

How do you improve your events?

You should take into account your gut instincts and anecdotal feedback you get.

But we are in the data economy now.

As an event professional, you need to get feedback from your audience and also track data from your events and event marketing channels that you use.

Events are no longer a matter of opinion. There is hard data out there that can help you make better decisions when it comes to planning and executing your next event.

You need to track data from pre- and post your events also.

What data/metrics you track will depend on your business and on the type of events you host. E.g., Revenue, ROI, CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost), Conversion Rate, Customer LTV (Lifetime Value), etc.

You obviously need the data in a format that can give you the insights you need. After all, getting data is one thing but you need to be able to make sense of it.

When you have this data in front of you, it will help you make better decisions on what to do next time around.

You should compare what the data reveals with what your intuition says about how to improve your events and event marketing. Read our earlier blog post: ‘Event Data’.
