Event Marketing Insights: Getting in the Zone |
You’ve probably attended events where, for example, during a Q & A session, an attendee asks a question and other attendees then have follow-on questions. Then the discussion gets really interesting, the audience start leaning forward in their seats with more questions and comments – they’re engaged in your event. This is great for the event and the organizers also. The event is ‘in the zone’. But due to time constraints the session has to end.
So, in your events, build in time to allow for discussions in which the audience seem engaged and involved. They will get more value from this and the audience may take the discussion further after the event, perhaps on social media – which will help keep your event and brand in their minds.
If during your Q & A session, the audience are disengaged and not asking questions, then it is probably due to not enough planning on your part.
