Further to our earlier blog post: 'Event Niche', you may think that as an event marketer, finding your niche and marketing to that niche may get you further than marketing to a larger market. In the niche you may get a better market share.
Perhaps, but there's another school of thought on this. Instead of marketing to a niche, if you market your events to a larger market you may only get a small market share but that small market share might be larger, in absolute terms, than the share you get in your niche.
Which way you go will depend on your type of business and the events you host. Maybe you use both.
