For an event to be successful, the attendees must have a great time.
However, this does not mean that the event should be all about fun and games.
The goal of an event may be to create business opportunities for everyone in
attendance. This requires a balance between fun and business and it’s up to you
as the event planner or organizer to strike that balance.
When attendees attend your events, they want networking opportunities that
are beneficial to them.
This involves creating an event with the mix of:
·
the right topics together with
·
the right speakers and
·
inviting the right people to attend.
Attendees want to meet people who can provide them with value. This means
that in order to ensure that your attendees get the most out of their time at
your event, you need to select speakers who have something valuable to offer
them. If you don’t, they will be disappointed and likely not attend a future
event.
Attendees want to gain skills and knowledge that will help them do their
jobs better or advance their careers. This means that when creating an agenda,
it is important that you include the right topics for your audience.
Having the right topics for your audience means that your audience will be
more interested in discussion around the topics which will help them engage and
network more effectively.
